ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
21 JANUARY 2013
MINUTES
Please see below for minutes taken at the above meeting.
1. Because of various reasons there were no minutes from the 2012 meeting available There was however a Treasurers report. Andy reported that at the time of last years AGM the club held £175.94 in total
2. Race Secretary's report.
Andy reported the club's Willie Rafferty Open 10 attracted a good field of 57 riders. A profit was also made this time around of £11.49. The income from the Auldhouse League was slightly down this year, probably the wet summer had something to do with that. The confined 10 though was extremely well attended this year.
3. Committee
The committee for 2013 was as follows,
CHAIRMAN Colin Gillespie
TREASURER Andy Wilson
SECRETARY David Turner
RACE SECRETARY Andy Wilson
4. Treasurers Report
Cash in Hand £81.29
Account £965.66
The main reasons for a healthy bank balance was the fact that a good deal of club kit had been sold, £266 worth. Added to that was the club received a grant form SL council for £300. A full financial report was made available to view.
5. Other Business
DATES, The dates for the 2 trials before the Auldhouse league kicked off in earnest are the 23rd and 30th April. The league starts officially on 7th May.
Other dates,
Confined 10, 15th August
Hill Climb 27th October
Winter 10's 3rd March and 7th April
ACTIVITIES
It was agreed as part of the process of raising the club's profile, we should take part in certain events. These events were identified as the Georgetown Cup and the Rothseay Weekend. Further to this a long weekend training camp was voiced for Mid May. This would be put to the forum and taken from there.
The club had an application for a Community grant to complete and return. It was decided to try and obtain funds for junior riders wishing to take part in the track racing and accreditation in the Sir Chris Hoy velodrome.
Further discussion was to take place to look into the possibility of obtaining funding for a youth/track coach. Mandy Cullie voiced her interest in this position.Other funding avenues were to be explored by the secretary to cover these potential costs.
There was no further business.
