OTHER BUSINESS
GRANT
Secretary reported that the club had a grant application form to complete. However for the first time the council required receipts for the previous grant.

It was decided to try and obtain back dated receipts from the velodrome for around £300 to cover this. These could be sent in with the current application.

Amongst the items decided on for the forthcoming application were rollers, cycle lights, hi vis jackets, turbo trainers and posters made up to be used for advertising the club

YOUTH/ JUNIORS
On the subject of trying to achieve a higher membership and participation of junior and youth riders, it was decided to run in conjunction with the Auldhouse league a junior competition. The table of junior and youth riders would be updated on a monthly basis.
This would give riders hopefully a competitive edge and keep them turning up every week. A trophy of some description could also be awarded to the overall winner.

The league will be advertised prior to it beginning with this in mind.

It was also discussed that the club should make a greater effort in keeping juniors and youths as club members. This outlook was also discussed with a view to track racing. A working volunteer group was to be set up to take this matter further. The group would consist of Keith Stoddart, Mandy Cullie, Colin Gillespie and Brian McKelvie.

CLUB RUNS
The club‘s Sunday Social runs topic created a lot of discussion. It was agreed to reinstate the monthly social Sunday run. One Sunday of every month, April - September would be devoted to a longish, sometimes distant venue with a cafĂ© stop. This was to encourage an easier ride where everyone stayed together with the emphasis on social. The following dates and venues were agreed,
6th April, Tak me Doon***
4th May, 3 Ferries
1st June, Peebles
6th July, Moffat, Talla Wall
3rd August, Hawick, the borders
7th September, Arran

*** This date may have to change or the April winter 10 as both clash.

The normal Sunday runs would still have 2 groups a fast and slower one. This would continue to encourage more club members to participate. It was also discussed that every run should have a captain/leader on the road who made the decisions on route, etiquette etc. To combat the time wasted thinking of a route, it was agreed that a compilation of 3 or 4 routes were made up and one of these selected on the day.

PRESENTATION LUNCH
The date and venue for the lunch were as follows, Sunday 23rd February at the Eglinton Arms. The club will subsidise each meal by £5 thus making it £12.95 per head. The meal takes its usual format, a 2 course lunch of soup or pate followed by a choice of steak pie or chicken for mains with tea and coffee to finish.  Deposits of £5 will be required to book and these will be uplifted at the Tuesday night training.

SOCIAL NIGHT
Keith Stoddart recommended a social evening to take place soon considering we missed out on the Xmas club run. A date and venue were to be decided.

WEEKEND AWAY
A few members discussed a weekend away for a good club run. The most popular venue seemed to be Pitlochry and the month July. It was agreed to stay at the youth hostel in Pitlochry. Jack also suggested that Straiton in Ayrshire may be a venue as the club stayed there in wooden huts in the past. This motion was to be looked at more seriously and further discussion to take place.

VENUE
Finally it was agreed that the Auldhouse Arms was not a suitable venue to hold an AGM. The Meeting next year should be held in the hall where we train on a Tuesday night.

There was no further business.
